Guiding Light Mentorship • Ages 13–21

A consistent adult can change how a young person sees what is possible.

Guiding Light Mentorship connects young people with trained adult mentors who provide encouragement, accountability, perspective, and a dependable place to talk.

What participants receive

  • Help navigating school, work, and relationships
  • Exposure to new experiences and opportunities

Who it serves

This program is designed for South Florida young people ages 13–21 who would benefit from consistent guidance, encouragement, and support.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Complete the interest form.

  2. Step 2

    Meet with a Harborlight team member.

  3. Step 3

    Identify goals and support needs.

  4. Step 4

    Begin the mentor-matching process.

  5. Step 5

    Maintain regular meetings and check-ins.

Expectations

Mentorship is not therapy, crisis intervention, or a replacement for professional mental-health services. A live organization would clearly explain safeguarding practices, eligibility, mentor screening, and referral procedures here.
